IPAC hosts avalanche workshops

SANDPOINT — The Idaho Panhandle Avalanche Center is hosting free workshops this winter to boost avalanche awareness.
A workshop on Tuesday, Jan. 5 focuses on avalanche rescue, while a Tuesday, Jan. 19 drills down on avalanche problems in North Idaho. Both workshops start at 6 p.m. at U.S. Forest Service’s Sandpoint Ranger District station at 1602 Ontario St.
