PLAINS – The Rocky Mountain Bank recently celebrated the holidays with their customers through a lunchtime open house with chili and drinks.

The bank provided two chilies, a mild and a spicy, as well as cornbread; there was also punch included. According to Denise Benson, vice president of the bank, the event has been happening for more than 30 years. She recalled it had been happening since before she worked there.

“It’s just a thank you for the customers,” she said. “It’s just an appreciation to our customers on a nice, snowy day.”

They also had a visit from Santa Claus. Parents brought their kids to the bank for pictures with Santa as they enjoyed the open house.
