PONDERAY — Eight years as mayor of Ponderay has come to an end for Carol Kunzeman, and residents will welcome a new leader to "The Little City With a Big Future."

Her last meeting is Monday, Jan. 4, where she will pass the reins to Steve Geiger. Kunzeman did not run for reelection.

Kunzeman was asked a series of questions about her time as mayor and her work in public office. Her responses are below.

Q: Time as mayor?

I have been mayor for eight years from January 2008 through Jan. 4, 2016. I was on Ponderay City Council five years previous to becoming the mayor for a total of 13 years of public service.
