Food and fun at the Libby Senior Center

The Libby Senior Center has a plethora of dining and entertainment options on the menu for January. 

The fun kicks off Saturday, Jan. 2, and continues every Saturday, with bingo at 7 p.m. Card players are the order of the day on Wednesdays. Cribbage games are held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. each Thursday, with pinochle games Fridays at 7 p.m.

The Senior Citizens Board meeting will be held at 9 a.m Jan. 14 in the center’s board room. The foot care and blood pressure clinic is scheduled from 10 a.m. until noon Jan. 21.

Dinner is served every Tuesday and Friday at 5 p.m., with the salad bar opening at 4:30 p.m. Dinner will not be served Friday, Jan. 1, as the center will be closed for the holiday. Lunch is served Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 5:  Country-fried steak, mashed potatoes, vegetable, dinner rolls, salad bar and lemon bars for dessert.

Wednesday, Jan. 6:  Grilled tuna sandwich, tomato soup, salad and cookies.

Friday, Jan. 8:  Beef tips w/noodles, mashed potatoes, vegetable, dinner rolls, salad bar and dessert.

Tuesday, Jan. 12:  Oven-fried chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetable, biscuits, salad bar, cake and ice cream.

Wednesday, Jan. 13:  Hamburger, corn chowder, salad and cookies.

Friday, Jan. 15:  Pork chops, dressing, mashed potatoes, vegetable, dinner rolls, salad bar and dessert.

Tuesday, Jan. 19:  Meatloaf, baked potatoes, vegetable, dinner rolls, salad bar and brownies.

Wednesday, Jan. 20:  Potato bar, cheesy broccoli soup, salad and cookies.

Friday, Jan. 22:  Creamed chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetable, biscuits, salad bar and dessert.

Tuesday, Jan. 26:  Spaghetti, garlic bread, vegetable, salad bar and cinnamon cake.

Wednesday, Jan. 27:  Bruch of biscuits and gravy, sausage links, scrambled eggs, salad and coffee cake.

Friday, Jan. 29:  Ham, scalloped potatoes, vegetable, cornbread, salad bar and dessert.

Home delivery of meals is available. Patrons requiring delivery are asked to order before noon on Tuesday and Friday and before 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
