Whitefish did its best to hold back Frenchtown in the second half of a Northwestern A matchup Saturday,  but the Lady Bulldog basketball team still suffered a 54-36 loss.

At halftime Frenchtown lead 31-11. But Whitefish played Frenchtown on even terms in the second half. Both teams each scored 23 points in the second half.

Freshman Dani Douglas lead the team with 10 points.

Whitefish lost to Class B Bigfork Thursday, 42-22.

Allie Schulz had nine points for Whitefish on 3 of 5 shooting from 3-point range.

Cailyn Ross earned nine rebounds for Whitefish.

The Lady Bulldogs head to Libby Friday. They’re home again on Feb. 14 playing against rival Columbia Falls.
