Morgan signs with Montana Tech

Columbia Falls senior Ty Morgan has signed a letter of intent to play football for Montana Tech in Butte.

The 5-foot-10 wide receiver was an all-state wide receiver as a junior and senior and was selected as an all-conference defensive back both years.

In basketball, Morgan was all-conference in both his sophomore and junior years. As a guard for the Wildcats, he helped lead the team to a state Class A championship in 2014. He was named to the all-state tournament team both years.

In track, Morgan was selected all-state track in his sophomore and junior years in the javelin.

Morgan carries a 4.0 cumulative grade point average and is a member of National Honor Society and Leaders of Tomorrow.

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
