What does God think?

There were four mentions of God in the editorial page last Sunday. That is a lot of press for someone, who, for the most part, is culturally ignored and irrelevant.

I would like to thank the Cd'A Press for involving Him. The editorial and the cartoon "idol worship" were so fitting - we are football crazy. The article by Mr. Neureuther, "Wrong in its comparisons," seems to have genuine reason behind his argument, the comparing of the LGBT community the same as "polygamist and people who condone incest." Mr. Casemore's article, "The new face of hatred," does nothing for the debate; he resonates hate.

There is an article from the blog sight of STR "Stands To Reason" which does intelligently enhance the debate against the LGBT agenda (The constitutionality of gay marriage and Change The Words).

The one who designed us must know what He intended. A portion of the article follows.

"Our objection to same-sex marriage is not about a difference between homosexuals and heterosexuals. If we were saying that homosexuals were lesser people unworthy of rights, then one might have an argument for this being an example of bigotry. But the case we're making isn't about a difference between homosexuals and heterosexuals (it's not even about whether or not homosexuality is morally wrong); it's about the difference between men and women."

The reproductive system is the only bodily system that requires another person to complete it. The bringing together of two physically complementary persons completes this system, and that is the type of union that society has an interest in protecting because that act is the act that produces children (whether or not it does so in any particular case). If the union of a man and a woman didn't have the social consequences of creating a family by nature, marriage (the stabilization of that union by society) would never have existed.

The full article can be read at the STR site, "Understand the same-sex marriage issue."

Gays should just admit disregard for the Bible

In a letter to the editor recently, Mr. Kelly was very terse with those not bent toward his bias for the gay community. In the article entitled "More of the same" He made himself out to be the knight in shinning armor for human rights i.e. the gay community - "attacking the attackers" who he claims are "Vengeful, draconian and intolerant."
