Time to fight Islamofascism before it's too late

I was astounded at the Sunday talk shows, “Force the Nation” and “Meet the Depressed” on Jan. 11. The apology tour which began with Obama in 2009 declaring a new kinder, gentler, more humble America that refused to use its military might to solve problems like Islamofascism was in full swing.

Of course killing journalists in cold blood was unacceptable to the panelists and moderators (after all, they are journalists), but didn’t the magazine Charlie Hebdo go too far with cartoons of Muhammad? Of course, I don’t recall a similar outcry over Piss Christ or the Madonna with Elephant Dung. Oh yeah... only Muslims are allowed to be offended!

Even worse was this administration’s lack of participation in the demonstration in Paris in support of free speech. Attorney General Holder was in Paris but didn’t attend, even though over 40 heads of state from both Muslim and Western countries were there, arm in arm. Instead, in interviews, Holder refused to identify the murderers as Islamic. The White House press secretary said it was a mistake not to send someone, but claimed it was not Obama’s decision. Really? REALLY? What the heck does he decide other than to ignore the Constitution? He DECIDED to send three people to Missouri to demonstrate solidarity with a two-bit thug and bully who assaulted a police officer.

Managing Editor Frank Miele got it exactly correct in his “2 cents” column on Jan. 11. I don’t understand why any intelligent being would willfully lay down the future of their civilization and way of life to appease an ideology hell bent on destroying it. Of course not all 1.6 billion Muslims are card carrying members of the Islamofascists. But all 79 million Germans in 1939 weren’t Nazis when the Wehrmacht invaded Poland, yet they allowed a mass murderer to attempt to take over the world.

The similarities are astounding. Without Hitler (i.e., if even a few million Germans had risen up early and either prevented his ascendancy or forced him out of leadership), WWII and the extermination of 6 million Jews and countless other innocents not to mention millions of soldiers could have been avoided.

Would Hitler have been able to rise if his first announcement was his intention to exterminate the Jews, mentally challenged, homosexuals, etc.? Unlikely. But the Islamofascists are unapologetic. The leading British Imam, Choudary, says that Islam means submission. The entire world, according to his view and that of the Koran, must convert to Islam or die.

Some Islamic leaders are less rigid and accept the concept of dhimmitude in which non-believers are allowed to survive in diminished status and rights if they pay a tax, jizyah. I can’t wait. Liberals should like that... a new tax! Oh, that’s right. As a Jew, I’ll be killed. Don’t need to worry about a tax.

Fast forward from Nazi Germany to today and we have another fascist group, this time clearly based on the Muslim religion and the most cruel and primitive legal system ever, sharia law. Yet world leaders, starting with the president of the United States of America and including France and Germany, fail to identify the origin and danger of their philosophy. Rather we hear the same lame excuses heard in 1939.

“We should seek by all means in our power to avoid war, by analyzing possible causes, by trying to remove them, by discussion in a spirit of collaboration and good will.” That was Neville Chamberlain just before the invasion of the sovereign nation of Poland by Hitler after he said he wouldn’t.

We should use “smart power” and leave “no one on the sidelines, showing respect for one’s enemies, trying to understand and insofar as psychologically possible empathize with their perspective and point of view.” No, this wasn’t Chamberlain, but rather Hillary Clinton on Dec. 5, 2014, at Georgetown University.

If anyone doubts the evil intentions of the Islamofascists to establish a ninth caliphate (the exact number depends on how you count them), consider the announcement by ISIL that they have formed an Islamic State, with a budget and a currency. As an aside, why is it important that the President decided to call this group of terrorists ISIL instead of ISIS. Interestingly, ISIS stands for the Islamic State of Syria and Iraq (a localized area); whereas, ISIL stands for the Islamic State of Syria and the Levant. The area of “the Levant” by most historical scholars INCLUDES ISRAEL AND EGYPT!

In other words, merely by using the name ISIL they have identified the goal of wiping Israel off the face of the map, an aspiration shared by most terrorists including Iran (a state sponsor of terrorism which Obama is about to give a nuclear bomb), al-Qaida, PLO, Hamas and Hezbollah.

All that remains is the announcement of a caliph. If the Sunni tradition is followed, the caliph must be a descendant from Allah and Mohammad. ISIL is Sunni. Their leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi added the name al-Qurashi, a prominent family in Mecca around the birth of Muhammad, to indicate a direct descendancy from the prophet and thus a legitimate Sunni claim to be caliph.

Does anyone doubt, no matter how unlikely, his intent to form a caliphate with him as caliph and to force the rest of the world’s population into submission? That submission will not be to a small number of Islamofascists, but rather to the 1.6 billion Muslims, who — while Western civilization’s populations decline with decreased birth rates — multiply like rabbits both in Arab lands and in the West. Muslims already represent 10 percent of the population of France with over 700 ghettos considered to be virtual “no-go zones” where police usually stay out and where sharia law rather than French law is followed.

Just as with Hitler and the Nazis, there is no appeasing Islamofascists who are determined to subjugate Western civilization to their primitive religion. As world leaders refuse to face the threat head on, afraid to even mention the terrorists’ clear connection to the Koran and the ideology contained therein, we are being murdered daily by Islamofascists all around the world while the so-called moderate Muslims for the most part either remain silent or dance in the streets as they did when 3,000 Americans died in fire or jumped 1.000 feet to their deaths.

No, it is time the West identified all terrorist groups and their sponsors — ISIL, Iran, al-Qaida, PLO, Hamas, Hezbollah, Boko Haram, al-Qaida in Yemen, and any other splinter groups of murdering Islamofascist terrorists — and exterminated them with whatever force necessary.

Our leaders need to understand the threat and commit to defeating it. Islamofascism is no less a threat to our way of life than Nazism was. Understand them? No! Kill them? Yes. Or we will all be their victims eventually, not just those 17 in France, 2 in Canada, 2 in Australia, etc., etc., etc.

Inter Lake too tough on Zinke?

I am not for wasteful government spending, but does the Daily Inter Lake need to parrot the Associated Press’s repeated assaults on Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke’s air transportation spending ... and putting this garbage on the front page? After the liberal media got rid of HHS secretary Tom Price for using excessive charter flights, I’m sure they figure this is a way to get rid of most of the president’s Cabinet, not that any Democrats ever abused this privilege!

Was Obama team working to undermine Trump transition?

WOW! Can this piece-of-work we call the Congress and the drive-by media be any more pathetically one sided? Can their emphasis on character assassination and process overshadow the truth any more than they have obfuscated the truth thus far?

Creative problem-solving needed in Glacier Park

So Glacier National Park is considering a “one car in, one car out” policy at venues on dead-end roads such as Bowman Lake due to overcrowded parking causing a “safety issue.” I wonder how often emergency vehicles have had a problem getting to where they were needed at the lake. Not to mention that it seems to me a helicopter would be more useful in providing timely intervention and not be affected by overcrowded parking. My guess is that there are fewer than 50 parking spaces (excluding the campground itself) for the whole site, including people parking for multi-day backcountry hiking.
