Betty Bozarth Leslie, 77, passed away on Monday. Feb. 9, 2015, peacefully at her home in Kalispell.
Betty was born July 10, 1937, to Ralph and Clella (Johnson) McWilliams in New Deal, Montana, where her father worked on the Fort Peck Dam.
She was raised in Eastern Montana on a farm/ranch and attended school at Hillside, Garfield County High School and then went on to Eastern Montana College where she began her career as an elementary teacher.
Betty married Ernie Bozarth in 1959, and they had two beautiful daughters. She had a fulfilling and successful career as an elementary teacher at various schools. She taught for many years at the Evergreen School in Kalispell, where she retired.
She married Jim Leslie in 1981, and had many rewarding years teaching, playing golf, bowling and traveling. After retirement she enjoyed her Friday luncheons with her teacher and bowling friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Dean McWilliams and Curtis McWilliams.
Betty is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters, Tracy Bozarth and Luanne Bozarth Billman; granddaughter, Kendra Bozarth; grandson, Derek Billman; sisters, Myrna Stone, Jane and Bob Engdahl, and Joyce and Curt Schwartz; along with various nieces and nephews.
