Sentence revoked for bad check writer

The sentence of a 51-year-old Columbia Falls woman convicted of writing bad checks on her Freedom Bank account in 2007 has been revoked.
Teresa Stratton was sentenced on Sept. 20, 2007 to 10 years under the Montana Department of Corrections with five suspended after she pleaded guilty to felony common scheme. According to court records, Stratton wrote 26 bad checks totaling about $2,000.
Stratton admitted to violating the terms of her probation during a revocation hearing on Feb. 12.
Flathead County District Court Judge Ted Lympus sentenced her to five years with DOC with credit for actual time served but not for time spent under probation.
