DEARY - St. Maries sophomore guard Dakota Wilson hit the go-ahead free throw with six seconds remaining, lifting the top-seeded Lumberjacks past the third-seeded Orofino Maniacs 51-50 in the championship game of the 2A District 1-2 tournament on Tuesday at Deary High.

St. Maries (16-4) advances to the state 2A tournament starting next Thursday at 2 p.m. PST at Capital High in Boise, opening with Declo. It is the first state appearance for St. Maries since the 2011-12 season, the school's final season at the 3A classification.
