OTHELLO - A man from Othello and four young adults from western Washington were injured when two cars collided on Highway 26 in Othello on Feb. 16.

According to the Washington State Patrol, neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor. All persons involved were using proper safety restraints.

The Othello man was Jorge Campos Juarez, 38. He was driving a blue 1997 Honda Civic, westbound on 26, the WSP said.

According to the WSP, Jessica Mazique, 19, of Tacoma, eastbound on 26 in a tan 2008 Ford Escape, attempted to make left hand turn onto 1st St., and her vehicle was struck by the Juarez vehicle.

Both cars came to a stop in the westbound lane. Both were removed by Oscar's Towing. The WSP cited Mazique for failure to yield.

Juarez and Mazique and three passengers in the Mazique vehicle were injured. All were taken Othello Community Hospital.
