POST FALLS - The property manager of a Post Falls business complex on Monday reported three stolen heaters and $20,000 worth of missing flooring.

The three wall-mounted heating units at the mostly-vacant complex at 6310 E. Seltice Way are valued at $500 each.

"There were no signs of apparent forced entry," an officer wrote in his report.

Post Falls Police Chief Scot Haug said Wednesday that no arrest has been made in the case. An investigation continues.

The property manager told police that Global Credit Union is the current owner of the facility after a foreclosure last April. She said there's a pending sale on the property.

"The doors of the building will soon be boarded up and all locks will be changed," the report states, adding that a security company will also begin patrolling the property.

The property manager said a single renter has occupied part of the complex in recent months and was due to be evicted this week. The renter has had access to the entire building, she said.

"On top of all the missing heaters, copper pipes were bundled up throughout the complex, property was scattered about and holes were broken in on several walls," the report states.

The property manager told police that the renter admitted to removing the flooring and was apparently told by a prior selling agent that he was allowed to do that.

However, the manager told police that she believes the information is false and there was no reason to take the flooring.
