Troy’s City Council met for two brief special meetings at 6 p.m. on Jan. 5, at the Troy City Hall. Each meeting lasted only a few minutes with the second meeting beginning immediately after the first was adjourned.

The first meeting regarded the sale of the city’s 2003 Dodge Dakota truck, which was an old police vehicle that had been sitting in Kalispell out of commission. One bid was offered by Doug Carr and approved by the council in the amount of $1,156.00.

In the second meeting, Nicole Noonan’s contract for city auditor was approved by the council. Troy Mayor Darren Coldwell said, “We’ve been really happy with the work she’s done for us. She’s easy to work with, and does a good job explaining things.”

Noonan has been Troy’s auditor for about six years, and pending approval from Montana’s Department of Administration, she’ll be auditor for another three years. Coldwell said the council had about six other proposals for the position and Noonan’s was the lowest.
