MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake Walmart was evacuated early Tuesday morning last week as police investigated a bomb threat.
About 7:50 a.m. Tuesday a man called the store and said there was a bomb inside which would detonate in 30 minutes.
"The store was evacuated and searched. Nothing was found during the search," Capt. David Sands said.
Employees and customers at the store were promptly shooed out, and the parking lot was blocked off until police finished their investigation into the threat.
Jack Bielinski, of George, and his crew from Bimbo Bakery USA were delivering bread to the Walmart when police started clearing people out.
"We were told to evacuate the building, and they weren't playing any games," said Bielinski. "Drop what you're doing immediately and leave the store immediately."
Bielinski and his fellow Bimbo employees went out to the front of the store to the company van, but were asked to move the van as police wanted to clear as much of the parking lot as possible.
Bielinski and his crew, Walmart employees and customers were able to get back into the store about 10 a.m. Police re-opened the store after their search found nothing dangerous.
