HERON — A Bonner County teacher was killed in a collision with a log truck on Monday, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
Rebecca “Becky” Marie Jensen was driving westbound on Railroad Avenue when an oncoming logging truck attempted to negotiate a right-hand turn onto Clark Fork Road, said Trooper Darlene Lee.
Lee said the unloaded logging truck slid into the westbound lane of travel. The trailer was piggybacking on the truck and its pintle hook, which couples the two vehicles together, struck Jensen’s car.
Jensen was identified by Sanders County Coroner Kathy Harris.
