Whitefish High School has two coaching vacancies to fill after the head volleyball coach and head softball coach resigned this winter.

Volleyball coach Sarah Scott turned a resignation letter into the school board this week. She led the Lady Dogs for four seasons, compiling a 24-40 overall record.

The Dogs best seasons under Scott came in 2011 when the team earned a trip to the State A tournament, and in 2012 when they went a perfect 8-0 in league play.

Whitefish finished the 2014 campaign 1-14 overall.

Softball coach Carrie Lamb turned in her resignation letter in December.

Lamb led the Lady Dogs for three seasons and complied a 4-56 record. Whitefish went 2-18 last season.

Whitefish Athletic Director Aric Harris says the district will begin the hiring process for both vacancies.
