Both Flathead Valley hospitals now have visitor restrictions due to the local influenza outbreak.

North Valley Hospital on Thursday announced restrictions similar to those established by Kalispell Regional Healthcare on Wednesday.

Visitors age 13 and younger may only enter the Whitefish hospital if they are patients or part of a family group in the emergency department.

Other restrictions include: only two visitors may visit a patient at a time, all symptomatic patients must wear masks and visitors are being asked to wash hands before and after visiting patients.

End-of-life and Birth Center cases will be addressed individually.

For questions, call North Valley Hospital at 863-3500.
