Jensen's death is mourned

SANDPOINT — A Lake Pend Oreille School District educator who was killed in a collision with a logging truck on Monday is being remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and teacher.

Montana Highway Patrol officials said Rebecca “Becky” Marie Jensen was driving westbound on Railroad Avenue near Heron when the driver of an unloaded logging truck lost control while trying to turn onto another road and slid into her lane of travel.

Jensen was 54.
