POST FALLS - The beat goes on for the growing medical corridor along Mullan Avenue in Post Falls.
NISHB (North Idaho Surgical Hospital Building), LLC, a group of area medical professionals, has broken ground on the first building at the Syringa Medical Campus at the northeast corner of Mullan and Syringa Street.
The $2.1 million, 17,000-square-foot, two-story building is the first of three medical office buildings planned for the 4.2-acre site.
"We expect completion by the end of June," said Darron Rock, NISHB spokesman and marketing director for Northwest Specialty Hospital.
NISHB also owns the Northwest Specialty Hospital building and property. The group owns 14 properties in the Mullan medical corridor, including a recently-purchased 4.68-acre site at Mullan and Shetland.
No lease agreements have been signed for the office building under construction, but two are in the works.
"The new campus will provide us the opportunity to accommodate additional medical service providers as the Post Falls Mullan medical corridor continues to grow," said Ron Rock, senior property manager for NISHB, LLC. "We are tremendously excited to work with Young Construction Group on this development and look forward to showcasing our new building later this year."
The building will have a contemporary look that will complement Northwest Specialty Hospital across the street.
Each building will accommodate between two and eight tenants in suite sizes ranging from 1,000 square feet to 7,000 square feet.
"We're excited to be a part of the team and pleased to continue our relationship with NISHB on this project," said John Young, Young Construction Group president.
Dzignworks of Hayden is the architect.
Leasing information is available by calling NISHB, LLC at 262-2413.
