BIRTHS

Jaxtyn Alexander Springs was born at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 1, 2015, to Bernadette Williamson and Brandon Springs of Post Falls. He weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces and was 21 inches long. Siblings are Mackenzie, 18, Juanita, 17, Kresha, 14, Nathan, 12, and Gavin, 10. Paternal grandparents are Jeff Springs and Barbara Baker.

Delilah Hope Sawicki was born at 10:29 p.m. Dec. 1, 2014, at Kootenai Health to Alana Kountz and Jade Sawicki of Coeur d'Alene. She weighed 9 pounds, 14 ounces and was 23 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Katrina Kountz and Travis Worley. Paternal grandparents are David Sawicki and Tammy Croffoot.

EDUCATION

The Montana State University 2014 fall semester honor roll included students from North Idaho.

There are two MSU honor roll lists - the President's and the Dean's Honor Roll. Students must complete 12 credit hours to qualify for either list.

Students with perfect 4.0 grade point averages for the semester were named to the President's Honor Roll. An asterisk (*) follows the names of the students named to the MSU President's Honor Roll in the listing below.

The Dean's Honor Roll includes the students earning grade point averages of 3.5 or above for the semester.

Jennifer Brooks, the daughter of Kenneth and Jana Brooks of Coeur d'Alene, has been named to the Dean's List of Macalester College for academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2014-2015 school year.

A graduate of Lake City High School, Brooks was a junior at Macalester last fall.
