GEORGE - A Moses Lake woman was injured on Dec. 23 when her vehicle crashed just outside of George on Interstate 90, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Johanna L. West, 42, was driving a 2000 Ford Ranger pickup westbound on I-90 at around 8:30 p.m. and lost control. Neither alcohol nor drugs was a factor, the State Patrol reported.
West, who was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the State Patrol, was airlifted to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland.
The State Patrol said West was driving in lane 2 when her vehicle left the roadway to the left and struck a cable barrier. The vehicle re-entered the roadway, crossing into lane 1, but West over-corrected. The pickup left the roadway to the left again, struck the cable barrier again and rolled.
The pickup came to rest on its side in the median. It was removed from the scene by Quincy Towing. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
