C-Falls pins Polson, Libby in Northwestern A duals

COLUMBIA FALLS — Third-ranked Columbia Falls posted six pins in a 45-28 Northwestern A wrestling dual victory on Friday over Polson.

Claiming the falls for the Mat Cats were: Haze Bell (126), Shonn Roberts (138), Colton Sweeney (145), Wyatt Green (152), Storm Kemppainen (160) and Spencer Ross (285).

Mateo Quinones (103), Tele Seemann (170) and Mike Corrigan (205) won by pin for Polson.

Quinones lost to Austin Nelson in an earlier meeting.

Kaleb Gravelin of Columbia Falls pulled out a tough 5-2 decision over Polson’s Jaben Wenzel at 132 pounds. Gravelin registered a takedown at the end of the third period to ice it.

Columbia Falls also faced off with eighth-ranked Libby, winning that league dual 58-15.

Libby gave up 24 points on four forfeits.

Libby won three straight matches — Zach Crace (152) and Garret Chapel (170) by pins and Michael Miller (160) by decision — to account for its scoring.
