Pedestrian killed by semitrailer on Interstate 90

MISSOULA — The Montana Highway Patrol says a pedestrian was hit and killed by a semitrailer early Friday.

The patrol says the semitrailer was westbound on Interstate 90 near Missoula when the accident occurred about 3 a.m.

Authorities say they do not know why the pedestrian was on the highway. The truck driver was not injured and the pedestrian has not been identified.
