COEUR d'ALENE - Dance the night away Saturday and help Press Christmas for All.
A charitable dance - hosted by Coeur d'Alene Dance Connection - will be held from 7-11:30 p.m. at the Coeur d'Alene Eagles ballroom, 209 E. Sherman Ave. An Eagles membership is not required to attend.
A mix of ballroom, country, Latin and swing music will be accompanied by a DJ and collaborated by qualified dance instructors.
"Coeur d'Alene Dance Connection is about promoting dancing and to encourage people to take dance instruction from qualified dance instructors," said Tex Peak, founder of Coeur d'Alene Dance Connection. "Dancing is an addiction and it's a great addiction to have. It's good for the body, good for the heart and good for the soul."
The group of dancers and studios sponsors charitable dances three times per year, Peak said. Friends of all styles of dancing connect with each other at the events.
"Dancers in the area love to dance," he said. "That's why we do it."
Admission is $8 per person. Adults and responsible children 13 and older are invited to attend. Casual to dressy attire is appropriate for the event. Snacks will be available, but attendees can bring their own snacks to share. Beverages must be purchased at the ballroom bar.
