Noxon finishes strong

NOXON – The Noxon Lady Red Devils hosted the Troy girls basketball team last Friday evening.

The Lady Red Devils ended the game on a strong note scoring 20 points in the final quarter of play.

However, the late game offensive output was not enough to top Troy who won the game 55-33.

Troy went used an early offensive surge to jump out to a 12-2 lead after the first quarter.

The visitors built on their lead in the second quarter and led 24-10 at the half.

The third quarter proved to be the game’s pivotal frame as Troy went on a 25-3 run to start the second half, effectively putting the game out of reach with the score at 49-13 heading into the fourth quarter.

Nonetheless, Noxon refused to bow out of the competition, launching a 20-6 run to end the game.

Senior McKenna Krueger helped sparked the Lady Red Devils’ late offensive surge, ending the game with 24 total points.

Junior Asiah Jensen added four points of offense for Noxon.
