POST FALLS - Two men were arrested on multiple charges after a police officer spotted a vehicle that appeared to be speeding in Post Falls early Sunday morning.
Schuyler B. Snell, 18, of Coeur d'Alene - a passenger in the vehicle, which ultimately pulled into the driveway of a residence on Ivy Lane - was arrested for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Another passenger, Christian A. Reynolds, 20, of Post Falls, was wanted for grand theft in Kootenai County and for providing false information to a police officer in Latah County. He was also charged with providing a false identity to police on Sunday and with possession of marijuana.
The driver of the black 2002 Hyundai Elantra fled the scene on foot and was not located by police.
"The driver exited the vehicle and quickly ran eastbound down a walking trail and was out of sight within moments," the police report stated.
Reynolds told police he stole a street bike, which led to the grand theft warrant.
All three occupants who remained with the vehicle denied knowing anything about drugs in the car, the report states. None of the occupants had a valid driver's license and there was no valid insurance for the vehicle, according to police.
Marijuana was located by police in plain view inside the vehicle, which led to a search for other evidence, the report states.
During a search of the vehicle, a siphon hose, syringes, brass knuckles, pliers, knives, a tire iron, baseball bat, machete, several cellphones and several backpacks were found.
A female passenger was not arrested.
