Weekend fire at Tricon Timber causes damage

ST. REGIS - The Tricon Timber Mill in St. Regis was the site of a small fire on Sunday, June 28 that was quickly extinguished by firefighters with the St. Regis Volunteer Fire Department and other agencies.

Smoke was visible in the early evening hours as authorities doused a few remaining hotspots.

It was not immediately known what caused the fire or how much damage was done. A witness at the scene said there were no injuries but that could not be confirmed at time of press.
