ROYAL CITY - The Royal High School wrestling team, competing as the Royal Wrestling Club, took five of the seven dual meets in which it competed at Boise, Idaho last week.

The trip to Boise was educational and social as well as athletic. Coach Randy Miller drove the boys through central Idaho so they could learn more about the potato state

"I felt the group we took down enjoyed the trip," Miller said. "We had a camp-out in the Boise National Forest at a natural hot springs. "We cooked over an open fire and shared some great stories."

The Royal boys also visited Boise State University and walked out on the blue turf in Bronco Stadium. Wyatt Allred had to be dragged due to the fact he is a die-hard WSU fan, but he did touch his foot on the field.

As for the duals, Miller was impressed with the efforts of his incoming freshman on the mat.

"This trip was a nice venture outside our area that the kids will not forget," Miller said. "I would like to thank all the parents that supported us and all the hard work it takes to raise funds. The coaching staff is very excited about this next season."
