MISSOULA — Over 30 teams, more than 600 swimmers, converged on the Garden City for the 34th annual Missoula Firecracker swim meet.
The Kalispell Aquatic Team had another strong showing during their 2015 campaign as 17 KATS members took to the pool in hope of improving their midseason form.
Antoinette Popp continued her dominance, winning all seven of the events she entered.
Her longest performance, the 400-meter individual medley, took just 5 minutes and 37.5 seconds.
Fellow-12-year-old Caroline Dye took home the 200-meter freestyle title. Dye won in the event 2:24.10.
Emily Cephers, 12, reached the state-cut line in all six of her events, highlighted by her ninth-place finish in the 50-meter backstroke.
On the boys side, Phillip Rhodes, 15, took sixth in he 50-meter butterfly.
Jace Reed wasn’t far behind Rhodes, finishing 12th in the same race and division.
