BONNERS FERRY — After 12 years, Huckleberry Variety closed its doors on June 29.

Friends, family, and volunteers showed up to help Dolly Boling pack and clear out the store.

“There were so many volunteers,” said Doling. Local businesses pitched in as well.

Doling wanted to give a shout-out to Norv Skirvseth from Sharon’s Country store, Will Hedrick from Boundary Electric Co., Henry Yoder from Yoder’s Market and the crew from Tech Partners.

The eight-week long contest Huckleberry Variety was holding came to a close with Colton and Grace Jones winning the wide-screen TV.
