Wanda Sverdsten Rickett, 75

Wanda Sverdsten Rickett died June 24, 2015, of natural causes in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She was 75 years old.
Wanda was born Jan. 2, 1940, in Silverton, Idaho. She was raised on a farm in Cataldo, Idaho, and graduated from Kellogg High School.
Wanda married Dale Sverdsten on Oct. 3, 1958, in Pinehurst, Idaho. They lived in North Idaho and Montana. She and Joe Rickett married in September 1994 in Superior, Mont. Wanda and Joe lived in Montana until Joe's death in 2012. She moved to Coeur d'Alene in October of 2013.
Wanda enjoyed many fishing trips, camping, road trips to anywhere - short or long, sewing, crocheting, and she also made lovely baskets. She enjoyed socializing, playing cards, and visiting. Wanda had strong opinions on various matters and was inclined to share them. At times her language could be quite colorful, and most who knew her are familiar with her favorite quips, which were also colorful.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Fritz and Ada Reinhofer; her first husband, Dale Sverdsten; and second husband, Joe Rickett. She is survived by her children Nina Sverdsten of Missoula, Mont., Mark Sverdsten of Cataldo, Idaho; Rika Botzet of Missoula, Mont., Eric Sverdsten (Crystal) of Nampa, Idaho; grandchildren Madison and Ryan Botzet of Missoula, Mont., and Justice Booth of Nampa, Idaho, Janine Rickett (Larry) of Lewiston, Idaho, and Donald Rickett (Karen) of Superior, Mont.; siblings Larry Reinhofer (Wendy) of Cataldo, Idaho, Julie Riley of Ogden, Utah, John Reinhofer (Terri) of East Wenatchee, Wash., and Sue Jones (Kevin) of Amelia Island, Fla.
A memorial lunch is planned for Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Rose Lake School, in Rose Lake, Idaho.
