"Do not worry about tomorrow as it takes away the peace you will have today."

Beloved John Warner Bushfield, 52, passed away in Papillion,Nebraska from a sudden heart attack. He resided in Coeur d'Alene, ID, surrounded by loving friends and adored family.

The fifth of six children, John was born in the small town of Orofino, Idaho, on December 5th to John Paul Bushfield and Darlene Bushfield.

Known to all as "JB" he had an infectious smile, wicked sense of humor and was a friend to all. He and his siblings grew up always near mountains, leading to a lifelong love of the great outdoors. He and his younger brother, "the little boys," often spent summers with their older siblings in Montana playing softball and waterskiing.

He graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 1981, playing trumpet in the marching band and competitive skiing. After graduation he traveled to Eureka, MT for work "pulling the green chains" for a while, but eventually made his way back to CDA where he worked for Crown Pacific for over 18 years as a Millwright, eventually working his way up to supervisor. John was well known as an exceptionally hard worker and fierce friend.

In 1987, JB married Teresa Giovanelli and while the marriage didn't last, they remained friends raising John's beloved children, Gina and Andrew. He loved them with all of his heart, bragged about them constantly and spent as much time as he could teaching them about the outdoors.

Always learning, JB set his sights on getting his professional welding license, receiving it from North Idaho College. He spent a decade traveling as a contracted welder, feeding his adventurous nature.

John loved to spend time in the outdoors skiing, fishing, camping and picking huckleberries with his children. He was famous for making homemade huckleberry ice cream for special occasions. He loved to host big dinners, always had a joke to offer and loved big discussions with friends and family around the kitchen table. He often sent texts or left voicemail checking in on everyone and always finishing by saying I love you.

His travels ended up taking him to Genoa, NE where he met and fell in love with Sharon Czapla, who convinced him to settle down, moving to Coeur d'Alene with John. Sharon and her family embraced him as their own and John came to love Sharon's children and grandchildren as his own.

John is preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Bushfield; his paternal grandparents Paul & Gladys Bushfield and maternal grandparents Grafton & Elsie Self. JB is survived by his father, John P. Bushfield; his two children Gina Lynn and Andrew John Bushfield; his loving girlfriend Sharon Czapla and her children John, Robert, Becky and her husband AJ ; his five siblings, Michael Bushfield and his wife Marti Bushfield, Pamela Osler and her husband Greg Osler, Kathleen Holder and her husband Michael Holder, Terrence Bushfield, Timothy Bushfield and his wife Kathy Bushfield; as well adoring nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews and 4 beautiful grandchildren.

Service will be held at 2PM, Saturday July 11th, 2015 at Yates Funeral Home, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, ID 83835. A reception will be held afterwards and all who loved and were loved by John Bushfield are welcomed and honored to attend.
