BONNERS FERRY — Tech Partners held its grand opening on June 26.

When Radioshack went bankrupt earlier this year, Mark Listman and Rita Pensmith closed the Radioshack store they had downtown and switched over to Tech Partners.

The new store is located on the South Hill at the traffic light near Zips Restaurant.

Pensmith said that the new location was picked out based on parking and convenience.

“Parking for us was downtown. People had to carry their computers two blocks to bring it in to us

Here you can just pull right in, drop it off, and head right out again,” said Pensmith.

“We’re picking up where Radioshack left off, so all the things that Radioshack had and everybody needs, we still have,” said Listman.

Tech Partners continues to do computer repair and has computer technicians on site.

Going independent has also allowed for Pensmith and Listman to lower prices to compete with big block stores in Sandpoint.

“We’ve had a great turnout,” said Pensmith.
