CALGARY, Alberta — West Glacier bull rider Beau Hill was bucked off Woodrow in his last chance to make the championship round on Wild Card Saturday at the Calgary Stampede rodeo.

Hill was one of 12 cowboys with a final chance to compete in the $100,000 Championship Sunday round.

Only three cowboys scored rides in the wild- card round, led by Texas’ Chandler Bownds with a score of 90 on Chuckey. Professional Bull Riders world standings leader Joao Ricardo Vieira rode Wonder Boy for 87.5 points to claim the final spot in the championship round. Canada’s Tyler Thomson rode Kish This for 86 points for the only other qualified ride, but it wasn’t enough to advance.
