MILES CITY — The Glacier 13-year-old All-Star team dropped its first game of the state Babe Ruth tournament on Saturday, falling to host Miles City 13-12 on a walk-off hit in the seventh inning.

Miles City scraped back from six runs down early in the game and came back from four separate deficits to win.

The loss, however, didn’t knock the Glacier 13s out of the tournament for good. Glacier and Miles City each went 3-1 in the pool stage and will meet each other at 9 a.m. today for a chance to play in the championship game.

Helena, which won all four of its contests, will play Havre (2-2) in the other semifinal.

Earlier in the day, the Kalispell 13s won a nail-biter, holding of Glasgow’s Hi-Line club for an 11-10 win.

Kalispell finished with a 1-3 record at the tournament, one win short of qualifying for play today.

Saturday’s Scores

Miles City 13, Glacier 12

Miles City 13, Hi-Line 3

Helena 12, Belgrade 2

Havre 8, Belgrade 4

Kalispell 11, Hi-Line 10
