FLAG: Banning a historic banner
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 9 years, 6 months AGO
I truly hope that The Press is slammed with responses to Grace Fletcher’s letter to the editor concerning the display of the Confederate flag on one of the vehicles and how she and those around her were “extremely offended” by it during a celebration of the United States.
Really? Does she not realize that the Confederate flag represents a part of American history? Were you not paying attention in school? I bet if anyone were to ask you if you were offended by the Confederate flag in last year’s parade, or any previous ones, you would say that you were not bothered in the least.
Apparently you’re being swayed by a small group of minority thinkers whose goal in life is to shut down and shut up those of us Americans who are proud of our country and how hard it’s fought to get to where it is today. What’s next on your list? Ban all cotton because it is associated with “slavery” years ago?
