FLAG: Lessons we should learn
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 9 years, 6 months AGO
Ms. Fletcher, as well as the many sitting around you, offend me. You liberal politically correct “PC” local people or those who have moved in want the rest of the community to kowtow to your offended feelings over a flag that is a part of the history of this great country. Grow up and get a life.
I’ll tell you what offends me is Crapo came to the community center here in Spirit Lake and told us he would not vote to give Obama Trade Authority. I called the day before the bill came up for vote and reminded his office what he pledged to me. Crapo bowed down to the altar of the Chamber of Commerce (big business), lobbyists and himself and voted for the bill.
Do you have any idea what the Trade Bill and Trade Authority Bill is going to do? It will allow companies like Disney to fire 200 Americans and replace them with lower paying H1B foreigners. Disney did relent on keeping 35 Americans, but what about the other 165? And these employees were forced to train their replacements or receive no severance pay.
This country is going to hell in a handbasket (am I showing my age) and YOU are offended by a flag. The Confederate flag is part of our history. The important thing is to learn from history.
