Fire on Rose Crossing claims man's life

 A man is dead after a house fire in Evergreen Saturday morning.

Evergreen Fire Rescue responded to the fire at 1326 Rose Crossing after it was reported by a neighbor around 9:39 a.m. 

The man was dead when responders arrived at the scene. The cause of death is still under investigation. A name will not be released until next of kin are notified. There were no other people or animals inside the house.

There was a large amount of smoke when firefighters arrived. Firefighters contained the fire in about 30 minutes according to Evergreen Fire Rescue Captain James Boyce. Evergreen Fire Rescue was assisted by Kalispell Fire Department, West Valley Fire and Rescue and Whitefish Fire Department.

The cause and origin of the fire are also still under investigation.
