SANDPOINT — The Idaho Department of Lands is suing a Priest Lake landowner accused of placing fill material on the lake bed and erected three small sea walls without a permit.

The department is seeking a mandatory injunction requiring Philip Hudson to remove 50 cubic yards of fill and obtain an encroachment permit for the sea walls, according to an action filed in 1st District Court on July 13.

Hudson is a Mead, Wash., resident with property in the South Shores subdivision at the south end of the lake, according to the suit.
