A taxi driver wanted Whitefish Police Department to respond to a malodorous situation on Baker Avenue when a passenger reportedly defecated in the taxi, took his pants off in public and vomited.

A man on Armory Road said cash was taken from his unlocked vehicle.

Survey says that a man who went to a woman’s Columbia Avenue residence for the second time to allegedly take a health care survey — yet didn’t go to other houses in the neighborhood — may have been a scam artist.

A good citizen on Spokane Avenue confronted a potentially drunk man described “walking sideways,” when he got into his vehicle. Unfortunately, the vehicle was gone when police arrived.

An intoxicated man was spotted lying underneath a bush in front of a U.S. 93 South business. The man was conscious, but mumbling and refusing to leave.

A different man was reported passed out by the front doors of a U.S. 93 South business.

Columbia Falls Police Department received a call from an unhappy man on Nucleus Avenue who wanted to know what his rights were in a situation where another man — who was preaching by a grocery store — was allegedly videotaping people with a cross-shaped camera on a staff. The caller said he told the preacher he didn’t want his children or himself to be videotaped, but the recording continued. It was decided the preachy man was not doing anything wrong.

Police counseled a group of Canadians in their late 20s who reportedly urinated in the parking lot of a Ninth Street West grocery store.

Someone on Ninth Street West told police they saw a person holding a lighter or small flashlight on top of a restaurant.

Kalispell Police Department received several reports of intoxicated people passed out in public. Incidents included  a “very husky” shirtless man sleeping on a man’s porch on Appleway Drive, a woman sleeping on First Avenue East and a man was passed out in a drive through on East Idaho Street.

An untidy man — who apparently has been sleeping on the steps of a First Avenue East church and leaving trash around — was seen relieving himself.

Someone on West Center Street saw a heavy-set man stumble, fall and sit by a garbage can. The man was “propped up on a nice shady spot near Rails to Trails” until he could “function a little better.”

A man on Fourth Avenue West said he and his ex-girlfriend had restraining orders against each other and wanted to know if “meeting in traffic” was a violation.

A parent said their son found what they believed were stolen electronics in their garbage bin on Second Avenue West.

An unlocked bike was reported stolen on First Avenue East, yet the victim was being uncooperative with dispatchers.

A man didn’t count on exhaustion during a bicycle ride from Salmon Lake to Whitefish Lake Park and stopped at the police station for assistance in finding a place to camp for the night.

A shirtless man carrying several bags on U.S. 93 North was described as acting very strange, yelling and throwing things.

Kids with bottle rockets were spotted behind the swimming pool.

Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to a structure fire on U.S. 93 South.

Kalispell Fire Department responded to an illegal burn on Fifth Street West.
