Donna Rae Linden, 71

Donna was born in Santa Monica, Calif., on Sept. 13,1943, and passed away on July 19, 2015, in Reno, Nev.

Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Willene J. Eubanks; her husband, Andrew "Jay" Linden, D.D.S.; her son, Peter Linden and her beloved, grandchildren Danielle and Nick. She is survived by her father, Edgar R. Eubanks of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; her brothers, William "Bill" Eubanks (Susan) of Sacramento, Calif., Gerald "Jerry" Eubanks (Debbie) of Ft. Mohave, Ariz., and David Eubanks (Sherrie) of Coeur d'Alene. Donna is also survived by her children, Debbie Mueller (Tom) of Penn Valley, Calif., Rick Burgess of Reno, Nev., Laurie Dorman of Fernley, Nev., Dennis Linden of Fallon, Nev.; and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Linden (Peter) of Queensland, Australia. In addition Donna is survived by 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Donna went to school in San Fernando, Calif., and moved to Sacramento, Calif., in 1967. Donna and her husband, Jay, moved to Spirit Lake, Idaho, in 1993. That same year she bought the Spirit Lake Monthly Newsletter. She was publisher, editor, reporter and advertising salesperson. Donna thoroughly enjoyed her time at the newsletter as it afforded her the opportunity to meet so many people in Spirit lake and the surrounding communities.

Donna and Jay enjoyed traveling around the country towing their fifth wheel until his death in 1999.

Donna suffered an aneurism in 2000 and subsequently moved to Reno in 2010 to be near her children. After recovering from her aneurism she continued to travel around the United States from Hawaii to Cape Cod, Mass., with her brother, Bill; her sister-in-law, Susan and Susan's sister, Sally. Donna knew no strangers and made many lasting friends in Sacramento, Spirit Lake, Coeur d'Alene and Reno. Donna loved to shop and dine out with her family including her daughter, Debbie; her two grandsons, Bryan and Tyler; as well as her son, Rick and his partner Fayette; and Fayette's mother, Lavada.

Her entire family and her many friends will miss her. Donna will be cremated and her ashes along with the ashes of her husband, Jay, will be scattered as per her wishes. A celebration of life party will be scheduled at a later date.
