PONDERAY - No injuries were reported after a structure fire erupted at the Fiesta Bonita Mexican restaurant on Wednesday night.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear, Northside Fire District Chief Brad Mitton said at the scene.

The fire at 700 Kootenai Cutoff Road was reported at 6:51 p.m. and drew firefighters from Northside and Timberlake Fire Rescue and EMS.

Firefighters appeared to concentrate their efforts at the building's foyer and the ceiling within it. Insulation was pulled from the space while firefighters on the roof worked on the back side of the building facade.

Additional information about the fire was not immediately available late Wednesday night.
