Donald Eugene Zimmerman, of Coeur d'Alene, died on May 27, 2015, at the age of 75 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
Donald was born in Peoria, Ill., on Sept. 22, 1939, to Clarence Franklin Zimmerman and Anna May (Bobbs) Zimmerman.
Donald served in the military in the Air Force National Guard and the Reserve from 1963 to 1969. He was stationed at the Columbus Air Force Base in Columbus, Ohio, from 1963 to 1965. He transferred to the Air Force Base in Santa Clara, Calif., from 1965 to 1967.
Donald enjoyed golfing all over the United States, fishing in Lake Coeur d'Alene and various lakes and rivers in California, as well as visiting Baja Mexico every year for deep sea fishing. He loved all animals and his dogs. He enjoyed his coffee in the morning and sweet stuff after meals. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and will be missed.
Donald retired as a Heavy Equipment Salesman from various companies in the western half of the United States. He worked as a Realtor in Coeur d'Alene out of retirement.

He is survived by his daughters, Tracy Ann Sheldon and Debra Lynn Clark; and his four surviving grandchildren: Ashley Anna Sheldon, Jonathan Walter Sheldon, Devon Lynn Clark and Darian Lynn Clark.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens, 7315 N. Government Way, Coeur d'Alene.
