The search for a new Whitefish Public Works Director has been narrowed to five candidates and the public will get the opportunity to meet them at a June 10 event.

The candidates are David Dobbs, city engineer for the city of Great Falls; Karin Hilding, senior project engineer and interim public works director for Whitefish; Ryan Leland, city engineer for the city of Helena; Carl Spier, deputy city engineer for the city of San Diego, Calif.; and Craig Workman, public works director for the city of Burlington, Wisc.

A open house meet and greet for the candidates will take place on Wednesday, June 10 at 7 p.m. at Grouse Mountain Lodge in an outside pavillion at the south end of the building.

John Wilson, who served as pubic works director for Whitefish for 17 years, left in February for a similar position with the city of Missoula.
