Cheryl Lynn Lewis, 59, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, received her call home into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on June 2, 2015. Cheryl left this world late Tuesday night surrounded by her family while staying at Kootenai Health in the Circle of Life. She fought a long battle with terminal health issues and finally succumbed to respiratory failure.

Cheryl was born on November 22, 1955, to Joyce and Leonard Guthrie in Anaconda, Mont., where she lived out the first year of her life. Cheryl then moved to Boise, Idaho, for a short time before moving to Kellogg, Idaho, where she attended elementary school. She then moved to Coeur d'Alene where she attended middle school and high school and would eventually build her own business and family.

At age 19 on April 5, 1975, Cheryl married Steven Danna. Steven was the father of their only child, Angela. After nine years of marriage Cheryl and Steven divorced. Cheryl then remarried to Robert Lewis in 1984. They also had only one child, Jennifer. Cheryl and Robert later divorced. Several years later Cheryl remarried for the final time to Terry Harmon in February 2004.

Cheryl was a very loving, generous, compassionate person and could always be found touching the lives of others. She started and operated a number of small businesses over the course of her life. When she was not working she would volunteer her time with community programs that serviced the less fortunate. She enjoyed canning and making jellies and jams which she entered into the county fair. She also loved to bake and cook for others. Cheryl would spend a considerable amount of her own time around the holiday season making sweets for family, friends and the needy. She would wrap them up and deliver them right around Christmas to spread her love to all who knew her.

When Cheryl was not working she was spending every moment with her children whom she loved dearly. Cheryl and her children spent the majority of their life together traveling, camping, and doing outdoor activities. Even into the later years of Cheryl's life she continued to travel and go into the wilderness despite her serious health complications. Cheryl adored her grandchildren and spared nothing to make them happy and make them smile. Cheryl was a devoted and loyal friend as well as a loving mother, sister, wife, daughter, and much more to all those who knew her. She had nothing but kindness, empathy, compassion and love for everyone. Cheryl is very loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her mother, Joyce Geboe of Coeur d'Alene; daughters Angela Munson and her husband David and their son Madsun of Post Falls, Jennifer Jackson and her husband Brett and their daughters Lennora, Joanne, Lillian and Iris of Coeur d'Alene; brothers Robert and his wife Karen Guthrie, Donald and his wife Rhonda Guthrie, and Roland Guthrie of Houston, Texas; sister Lori and husband Patrick Hoppe of Tacoma, Wash.; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Guthrie; stepfather Alfred Wayne Geboe; uncles Russell and Dale Archer; grandmother Nona Dovoe and other distant relatives.

Cheryl will be having a celebration of life at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at the LDS Church on Fourth Street in Coeur d'Alene. Please come and celebrate her life with us. There will be a reception to follow in the same location.
