A judge sentenced a Whitefish woman Thursday for going on a multiday, drug-fueled road trip with her 4-year-old daughter.
Loni Kathleen Greer, 30, received a deferred three-year sentence Thursday in Flathead County District Court. She had previously pleaded guilty to felony criminal endangerment and misdemeanor DUI for drugs.
According to court documents, Gree called police on Sept. 30, 2013. She said she was scared somebody was trying to take her child.
She had driven with a friend to Havre to pick up her daughter. Greer told police that she used methamphetamine and drank alcohol during the trip. She stayed up for two days straight and reported that she began to “see things.”
She later told police that her friend was driving a car on the return trip with the 4-year-old in the car. She started thinking that the friend was trying to take her daughter, according to court documents. Greer eventually let the friend out of the car and drove herself.
For the misdemeanor DUI for drug use, she was also given a six-month suspended sentence.
Greer will be put on probation during the deferment period.
