The search for a California woman at Heyburn State Park has been called off without her being found, the Benewah County Sheriff's Office said Friday.

Jacqulyn D. Grider, 69, went missing Monday morning while walking along Chatcolet Road. The sheriff's office initially reported her last name as Grinder, but updated that information today.

She was last seen around 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday.

"We have searched all surrounding areas and exhausted all available resources," the sheriff's office said in a statement Friday morning. "We have not found any clues to the whereabout of Mrs. Grider."

It's still possible she could have left the area somehow, a representative from the sheriff's office told The Press.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is being asked to contact the sheriff's office at (208) 245-2555.

Searchers, who staged at a parking lot near where the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes enters the park, covered the entire 6,000 acres of land in the park. They also covered the nearby waters.

Benjamin Miller, a park aide, said most of the park is wooded and all the trails are walked daily.

"There are multiple trails running through the park back there," Miller said.

He said the topography is a steep incline from the western shoreline of Chatcolet Lake. The popular Indian Cliffs Trail hike is on that side of the lake.
