Columbia Falls man dies in tractor accident

An 85-year-old man died Monday evening after a tractor rolled on top of him at his home on Montana 40 near Columbia Falls.

According to Flathead County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Commander Nic Salois, Edwin Covell was standing in front of the tractor working on the radiator.

It began rolling and ran over Covell, who was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.

An investigation is still under way through the Sheriff’s Office.
