Man calls to report borrowed vehicle

A Texas Avenue man called the Whitefish Police Department about his daughter’s boyfriend, who had allegedly borrowed her vehicle the night before and hadn’t returned. He said that the boyfriend was now using the vehicle without permission and needed to return it.

A drunken man was reported peering into parked cars at a supermarket on U.S. 93, concerning customers at a nearby fast food place.

A West Third Street man said he found a fawn next to its dead mother near Lupfer Avenue. He picked up the fawn and took it home, but now wasn’t sure what to do with it. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks was notified.

A Wisconsin Avenue employee called the police to report a belligerent man who refused to leave the business’ property. His vehicle had been towed and when he couldn’t get it back right away, he became angry. Eventually he was reunited with the vehicle and left the scene.

A motorist claimed someone had moved some construction signs, purposely making the construction zone difficult to navigate.


The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a chimney fire on Woodland Avenue at 5:08 p.m.


The Ronan Police Department made an arrest on Second Avenue South West at 6:18 p.m. for possession of dangerous drugs.
